Welcome to SHARE!

SHARE is a recent project, funded by the European Commission under the FP6 and which started in January 2006. It was built on the conclusion of the HealthGrid "White Paper" which suggested the development and deployment of healthgrids technology within 10 years. Part of new Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Grids are computing networks which shall benefit a large number of application in healthcare in the coming future by sharing and analysing data in medical research area.

This project is involving the participation of universities and laboratories from several European countries (Spain, Belgium, UK, Germany and France) as well as three other participants from America (Chicago) and Asia-Pacific (Taïwan). All these partners want to gather all their knowledge and their know-how in order to reach just one goal: develop the Grid's initiative for a better healthcare of mankind.
